It means renting a box of retro, screen-free cameras and camcorders that your guests use to film and photograph your event themselves. No photographer hovering, no phones in the air. Just your people, capturing the day from the inside, and everything back in one private gallery. Packs start at £170.

“We had such a great time at our friends wedding with the camera - always such a happy time and great to be able to capture in such a creative way!”

Step by step

How guest camera hire works.

  1. Book your date. Pay in full, or 30% now and the rest three weeks before.
  2. The kit arrives charged, about two days before. Nothing to set up: no apps, no wifi, and no screens on any camera. It goes to one address you give us, whether that is home, the venue or a friend’s.
  3. Guests point, press and pass it on. Each stills camera does about 500 photos on a charge, so roughly 2,500 across the five-camera pack, and the camcorders capture hours of guest-shot clips between them.
  4. We collect it the day after your event. Leave everything in the cases it came in and a courier picks it up from any address you choose. It doesn’t have to be the one we delivered to, because nobody is at the venue the next morning. Longer hires can be arranged.
  5. Your private gallery goes live the day the kit lands back with us, usually two or three days after your event: every photo and every clip, yours to keep and share.

Where it works

If there are people and tables, it works.

The kit is posted, so it works everywhere in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, city or middle of nowhere. If the post reaches it, so do we.

Not sure it beats the obvious alternatives? Read the honest comparison: disposable cameras vs a videographer vs guest camera hire.

Questions people actually ask.

Will guests actually use them?

Yes, because there’s nothing to learn and nothing to get wrong. The cameras sit on tables, someone picks one up, and the lack of a screen does the rest: nobody stops to review shots, they just shoot and pass it on.

What happens if a camera is lost or broken?

That’s on us. Cameras get handled at weddings, dropped, spilled on and sat on, and that is what they’re for, so we don’t charge for accidental damage or normal wear. We only ask you to cover kit that isn’t returned, capped at £60 a camera and £150 a camcorder. We’ll always talk to you first. No scary invoices.

How long do we keep the kit?

About 4 days. It lands roughly 2 days before your event and we collect it the day after. Longer hires can be arranged; just ask.

How much can it actually capture?

About 500 photos per stills camera on a charge, so roughly 2,500 across the five-camera photo pack or 5,000 across ten, plus hours of guest-shot video clips across the camcorders.

Do the cameras need charging, apps or wifi?

No apps, no accounts, no wifi and no screens. Everything arrives fully charged, and the stills cameras last the whole hire on one charge. The camcorders come with their charger in the box, so top them up overnight and keep filming.

When do we see the results?

Your private online gallery goes live the day the kit lands back with us, usually two or three days after your event. All raw photos and footage, yours to keep, and the gallery stays online for 12 months.

Is it cheaper than a videographer?

They’re different things. The UK average for a professional wedding videographer is £1,514 and buys a crafted, guaranteed film. The Video Only Pack is £245 and buys the candid version of the day your guests saw. Plenty of couples book both; see the full comparison.

Do you take bookings outside London?

Yes. We’re London-based and the kit is posted UK-wide, so anywhere the post reaches, including the Highlands and Northern Ireland.

What you hire

Hard cases. Everything in them, charged and checked.

This is what "guest camera hire" actually means — these two objects, in hard cases, posted to you. Neither has a screen on the back, so nobody stands there reviewing a shot.

Point, press, flash, pass it on. About 500 photos each on a charge, so five of them hold far more than an evening will produce.

Last thing

That’s the whole thing. A box arrives, a box goes back, a gallery appears.

Nothing to install, nobody to brief, and no film to post to a lab afterwards.
